link-it!
i know, i've been spending a lot of time online... what can i do, it's part of my job (i work as a tech support rep for an ISP) and it's also an all-time favorite past-time.
let me share some of the links i have collated during the past few days...
to me this is "easier and less time-consuming scrapbooking"
for someone like me who would love to do some scrapbooking, but have very limited free time, this is the solution.
since i don't cook well (i cannot even remember the last time i cooked), i browsed through the site for recipes i can easily prepare, hoping i can cook "again" for me and my roommate, the moment i buy a cooking stove.

this is one amazing site. some asian dramas are hard to find, and i found some of those here. i recently watched innocent steps here. the videos have nice resolution too.
5. smilebox.com
i saw this posted on musicchick2's page.
pretty much interesting, you can make slideshows, egreetings, scrapbooks, photobooks, and postcards here.
but to have the designs printed out, you have to register and pay for the extra service. the free version's not really bad though, lol.
6. bookmooch.com
my online friend, ivan, posted this on her page,
i just signed up on this site and i like the idea how you can share and trade books. i usually get frustrated to see some books are not yet available on local bookstores here. so i think this will help resolve such frustration, hehe...

i love books a lot. i really cannot explain why, but i always had this feeling of being happy when i'm surrounded by books (though i never loved every library i have visited, maybe it's just the way they smell, lol), ever since i was a kid. i still cannot explain why, but it sticking around books makes me happy. i would usually do some bookstore-hopping just to kill some time.
sometimes, i find it hard to remember which ones i have so this online book catalog helps a lot. one cool thing about this site is that it also links you to other people reading the same books, and it also lets you discuss with people.
i personally like how they arrange your books like what it should on a real library. hey, it's an online catalog anyway.

9. lumosity.com

the ads are kinda annoying though.

15. librivox.com
not all audiobooks are affordable, so this one's a wonder. the site is a bit hodgepodge.
it's a public effort - it has a collection of public-domain books read by anyone who volunteered.
the audio quality is also good (MP3s at 64 or 128 Kbps, and also OGG Vorbis files)
16. dafont.com
i should've known this website before, it would've saved my time looking for those dll files...

forget downloading or installing file converter apps on your computer. this website will allow you to convert files of different formats.
"you can convert anything-images, documents, and videos-and have it e-mailed to your inbox in four quick steps without downloading a thing. A new feature lets you convert files from URLs, which means you can save YouTube videos to your hard drive without breaking a sweat."

thanks!
you might also like BookCrossings.com
You "register" your book, put it's tracking number & bookcrossing info in/on it, then leave the book somewhere (aka: Set it Free) and input the location to the website.
In theory, when the book is found, the finder log's in that they found it, read's it, inputs a review, then leaves it somewhere else. And you get to track it's progress.
There are also options to "hunt books in the wild" - you input an area and it will tell you where & what books have been set free. You go see if you can find them.
you bet, i'm starting to like the idea of this site too.
